Anyone Want To Rant? About Anything? I Do.

My Rant for the day, delivery drivers that seem to think just because they have delivery signs plastered all over their van/ transit truck it gives them some sort of almighty right to stop in the middle of a busy narrow road beside the legally parked cars along the road and duck into the bussniess they where delivering too and spend an extra 10 minutes in there for the hell of it. What makes it worse is just 10m up the road from where they stopped is an open and car free loading zone and I know for a fact that the busnisses have a rear laneway running behind their premisies with rear doors. This bugs me so much because when these idiots decide to stop 10m up from a round-about I am usually in a work truck towing a trailer with possibly a ride on mower in the back, and I can't just swerve around the delivery van when it stops suddenly in front of me.... well I could if I felt like writing off some poor persons car coming in the opposite direction.

Oh and I hate neigjbours parking half on our footpath and half on the road too. We have layed leaky pipe under the lawn on our foot path so we can water the grass without having drift from wind or excess water running down the gutter. When these people park on our footpath they end up breaking the various clamps/ fittings and squishing the pipe or splitting it.

I don't know if this belongs here, but I can't find another place for my rant:

Comments made by people who have not bothered to try to understand what the other person has meant by their comment. It is a form of aggression, it is disrespectful and undermines a person's value in their comments and knowledge.

To be helpful to the OP, especially a newbie, it would be a lot friendlier, welcoming and informative if the comments made were to clarify instead of being degrading and making people afraid to even try to help someone.

If members behave in such a way towards each other, I wonder how many newcomers choose not to come back, or how many members simply give up!

Sorry about the gloominess of my post!

Hearing people say they got a nice bit of wood from a lake and I have been to 6 and not found any to put in the tank, Did find one just had to shrink it from 8ft to 10" and it would of been nice!! fuel cost for going to lakes could of gone to LFS and got a nice piece...oh well theres always next month..

George lucas re selling the same content with a different spin. Its either redone. Its on blue ray. Its made into 3D.

How many people have seen or bought the same movie over and over again. That man could sell old rope.

My rant today has to be my back.

I'm currently dosed up to the eyeballs on morphine, diazepam, tramadol, co-codamol and numerous other pain reliefs.
None of it is working today and I can barely move. I'm 29 not 69. I am hoping the doctor calls me back and gives me an injection he was supposed to get for me today and hope he does a house visit because I cannot drive or even get into a car if someone else drives.

Next rant,
Text talk. Its pointless. I see they're also adding letters not too. Instead of like its lyk, cool is kool, then there are others that goes "t2ul8r" which is supposed to mean talk to you later. One that really drives me mad is 'Wubu2' which is supposed to mean what you been up to? Adding letters is the worst. I do it to show my excitement at something but people will do this all the time. There is not need to write 'woz' because its not shortening anything, kool is another that isn't shortening the word so again, pointless. When our kids got phones the deal was to never text like that, they know how to spell words so do it correctly or the phones will be taken off them.
When anyone sends me a text like this I do not reply.

I remember back when I got my first pay as you go phone. This was back before the days of unlimited text bundles and all that. Texts cost 12p and you were only allowed a set amount of characters and if you went over it counted as two texts. I was and still am an essay texter, I can never write short ones. I always wrote what I meant in proper English and then had to go back and shorten words if I'd gone over the character limit. It's acceptable under those circumstances I think, but it very rarely applies these days and it certainly doesn't make you look good.

I hate text speak too, might take me ages to reply but I prefer to use proper English

Argh, I just hate same people who don't know a #40## thing about fish keeping. For example, a woman I know does a water change two times a YEAR, taking the fish out and cleaning everything, doesn't use any dechlorinator or tests the water and says it's just common sense why she does that and says I'm just a fishlooney. Well, I am a fishlooney, and #40## proud of it! I at least care for my fish!

Ok, here's my rant for the day. I'm tired of people dying. My dog died in September, my father in law died 3 days before xmas, my uncle died a couple of weeks ago and my aunt died on Sunday. It's March and I'm already going to my 3rd funeral. I'm tired of it. The thing that grinds my gears the most is the circumstances of how my aunt died. She was in hospital for a test that involved having some dye injected and had an allergic reaction to the dye. Here's the thing, though. It was mother's day. Were any of her 4 kids there with her? No.
My friend's mum died last week too. She was 36 and just dropped dead leaving behind 4 kids of 19 years to 18 months. With all this death around, it kind of makes me feel as if I need to start living a bit more. I could be hit by a bus tomorrow :/

Foreign call centres phoning my house, telling me they work for my local 'technical support' company and they've somehow detected that my computer either has or has been sending malware.
All i have to do is allow remote access or download the fix from their website (for a nominal fee) to fix the problem.
This happens a lot when i'm out at work.
They phoned today, whilst i'm working at home.
I've had a bad day today, the pump on my stupid internal Juwel filter went this morning, cost me £35 to get a new one.
I wasn't in a very good mood when they called.
I let them spoonfeed me a little BS for a bit.
After awhile i asked them where the 'windows start key' they kept mentioning, was on my IMac.
silence.
Then: i'm afraid to say the red mist descended.
I used some unfortunate; colourful,language.
I had to go and lie down.
Still, at least i feel better now.

(i hope it wasn't a genuine call)

I think you can be safely assured that it is NOT a genuine call :good: I don't even let them get past their introductory shpeel - just tell them where to stick it (how colourful the language is depends on whether the kids are about or not) and hang up ;)

i just out the phone in the microwave... the longer the person/computer is connected for, the more it costs them...

I usually hang up. One day I want to sing, to see what happens. I suspect I'll just crack up laughing though :p
