Anyone Want To Rant? About Anything? I Do.

Same. Neighbour downstairs. Big dog +little flat + no walks = barking dog

I don't get why people have dogs (or any pets, in fact) if they can't give them the right care? I know I don't have time for a dog.... so I don't have a dog! Simples! it would be cruel to have one and not give it the time it deserved.

I think some people are a bit spontaneous like that...

Do not say to your girlfriend "aye, ok, you can get the roof box when your out".

She would have been better bring home a cardboard box.
:grr:

I need to rant about the sports coverage in the UK. Last week it was annonced that sky will be getting half of the F1 coverage next season...So thats the football, the cricket and most other national sports.

All we get on the normal channels is crappy highlights and Wimbledon (full of screaming and grunting which I could also rant about).

I will not pay stupid prices for sky which is mostly crap repeats and american tv! Rupert Murdoch #19###!

I also want to say I think that the drug policy over here (all countries really) is retarded, I wont go into detail over my views on this but it frustrates me greatly!

Hotels that look great on the internet and say they do this and that when in actual fact I'd rather been staying in fawlty towers.
Oh, and eejits of managers who just say "its company policy" and "the website needs updated"

Got half my money back anyway.

Micko, I'm not sure if it's the same in Ireland, but here in America, you can tell your city hall authorities on them. :3 I visit my city hall website for my county regularly... I have awful neighbors too. Their kids love screaming profanities at me even though I didn't provoke them at all. and their father says "Well I don't think they're doing anything wrong, they're not hurting anyone." Ugh. No reasoning with idiots.

They also blast music from their cars, causing one of my good neighbor's kid to cry. They scream threats at me repeatedly for trimming plants on MY SIDE of the fence. What's wrong with them... they must have aspergers or something.

Well anyway not sure if this works in Ireland but you can have your neighborhood petition to evict the neighbors out. They each must give a detailed description of why the neighbor is disruptive.

Also it would be best to have video proof. You should record them in the act, then record the time and date in the camera recording. Since times and dates can be faked in some cameras, you should record a clock that you don't have control over, such as maybe a giant public clock outside a store. Or a policeman's/higher authority member's watch.

I wish that would work with my neighbor, who likes to get drunk and howl like a wounded wolf. He accused me of killing his dog (sorry, but I rescue dogs, not kill them) and he's threatened to kill not only my dog but me too. He has loaded guns in his house so I just try not to provoke him.

That's a direct violation of the law to threaten someone. And disrupting the peace through drunken howls is disorderly conduct I think.

There's no reason why video evidence as proof would not send him to jail.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? He's well known at the PD here as a drunk, but for some reason they refuse to arrest him. Even after making the terroristic threats he didn't land in jail, which seems to make him feel invincible. The widowed lady on the other side of him is terrified of him.

So even with video evidence, they still refuse to arrest? That's really odd... that's dangerous, they're not doing their job. I guess police force varies from area to area. You guys should start a petition! Community safety depends on it! D:

Police not arresting individuals who blatently commit crime over and over again, sounds very familiar indeed. Really makes my blood boil. It would be only too typical that a good person would get arrested for a pathetic excuse even though theyve never broken the law in thier life. Sod's law. I sympathise with all of you. Makes you want to take matters into your own hands. You'd only get a rollocking though (goes back to my previous point).

Phoning up o2 and asking why my bill has shown charges for a roaming bolt on when I didn't request it.
Needless to say, that's one issue, the second would be call centre staff who cannot understand me nor I them.
Try explaining what your problem is to someone who cannot understand you. I had to hang up and try again. I am not a racist or anything like that but I truely believe that a call from an English speaking person requires someone on the other end who I can understand and them to understand me.
What a load of rubbish.

Would you be prepared to pay a high license fee for that to happen?

I'd rather just pay my sky subscription and that's it!

that's my rant, why do I get charged TV licence when I don't watch terrestrial television, I couldn't even watch it with the digital switchover as don't have a digital aerial, so I watch sky...that's it, nothing else, no other tv's in the house but the main one in the room, and yet I have to pay an extra £18 a month for the privilege of the BBC not having adverts.... :shout:

I go the other way, stick ad's on BBC channels and do away with the licence, then sky users can just pay for one not both! ahhhhh!! :shout:

You're watching BBC1 etc on Sky are you not? You're also using the transmitters and equipment and I bet you've listened to the radio in your life...all part of the license fee.
