Anyone Want To Rant? About Anything? I Do.

the m25!!!!!!!!!! worlds biggest carpark that puts on average an extra hour on my journey home from work !!!!

Would you be prepared to pay a high license fee for that to happen?
we pay over £30 a month already for the rest.

and you still get, close to, 20 mins of ads per hour.

but the licence fee is to own and use a TV. the revenues goes to the BEEB, channel 4 (partially, as its classed as a PSB) ITV and Channel 5 all get their revenue from advertising. as do all they other FTA channels on freeview and freesat.

know what has really driven me mad recently?

THE DOGS TRUST!
why? simple, i pay £8 a month to sponsor a dog, and they keep bombarding me with junk mail, and phone calls! thought i was helping to provide a 'FORVER HOME' for this dog not bl oody hamster bedding!

Builders that inform you that someone has conveniently stolen all the things they need to complete the job when you ask where they are half an hour after they were supposed to start work. Call me a cynic but my gut tells me it's horsecrap... :grr:

WWhen your kind family 'borrows' £400 off your boyfriend to pay bills, and then goes and books a holiday costing over £500..

also, When the same kind family dumps fresh, clean, white washing on the carpet where the black, long haired dog lies...

My sister just snapped all of my sweet peas, I'm livid, they were 102 inches tall and she snapped the lot in half trying to pick the flowers...gutted.

Yikes, Hanny! Now THAT'S a family I'm glad I don't have!

Here I've been complaining about my family being too far away. Hmmmm.

Mmmm really peed off about it actually, and i know my boyfriend is, but we cant really say anything about it because then my mum goes 'well you live here for free' which is also slightly untrue and very unfair. Ive only just got myself a part time job working at wetherspoons, and i earn about £100 a week. Take £12.50 away for a bus pass, £20 for riding and £20 for food at work, that leaves me with £50 to pretty much feed myself and my boyfriend at home, clothe myself and buy fish stuff, and pay back money I owe to people.

Mum usually ends up having no money about a week before payday, despite her earning a fair bit, so my boyfriend and I usually end up spending 50-75 on food for the family aswell, and now shes asking for rent..

I was meant to be moving out to uni in September, but I'm not going anymore, still might move out, just get a little house somewhere closer to my work and closer to the motorway for my boyfriend, and actually have some space.

Sorry for the mega rant!!

PS - SBS, ouch :(

I take it your sister is little? I'm sorry, some people just don't get the love of plants, but if you've lavished love and care and time into getting something to grow it still hurts to have it destroyed, regardless of what it is. Can the lower parts of the plants be saved?

That's really difficult. On the one hand you don't want to rock the boat too much, on the other hand, what she's doing is unfair. Living there for free doesn't mean you can be used.

I know, and I mean fair enough, she needs a holiday, she does work really hard and she does a lot for us and shes got a whole load of debt related stress pressing down on her, but a holiday, now? She didnt even invite us :/ I wouldnt want to go anyway, I'd rather stay here and have a party and catch up with all my old friends, but its the thought that counts isnt it?

This rant I'm calling the super rant.

Toured 5 LFS's today, didn't get anything but in the last shop a woman was in asking the shop owner to take her yellow bellied sliders, 9 of them and they're fully grown or she was dumping them in the bin.
IN THE BIN!!!!

Some of you may have read my post yesterday about my YBS tank smashing so I couldn't take any today. I gave the woman my number though and took hers and said I would take them all.
The LFS said he can't have them as he's has no space in his tanks and is getting more fish delivered tomorrow, which every friday he does.

I have the tanks to house them all but not the room space. But even the girlfriend said we couldn't leave them to go in the bin.
I have a few friends who wants one so I'm sure I'll be able to find them a better home than the bin.
So this evening will be a mad rush getting some tanks out of storage and setting them up.

I will explain to the woman my feelings on her going to do this tomorrow when I pick them up but decided I best not do it today even though there was steam coming from my ears. She could have hoofed them in the bin anyway.

I'm so shocked someone could do this.
Actually really sad about the thought of it.

How horrible :(

dont get sad about it, although I suppose I dont have one so i cant imagine what it feels like, its like hearing someone saying their dog will be going in the bin if the RSPCA wont take it.

I can only imagine what that's like. If your paying your way in other ways then its not like your living there for free.

I moved out of home at 15, some would say that's young but it was the best thing I ever did. Was able to make all my own mistakes and learn from them the hard way.
Turned out it was for the best though as me and my girlfriend have been together since then and have a great family.
We both see our own parent but have always been left to it in regards of getting on with our lives.

Hope you get it all sorted soon.
