What do you guys think??
just a quick update, i have brought a boyu in-line co2 diffuser becuase i am having to use way way too much co2 due to a shoddy rhinox 1000. Hopefully this will save me co2, and in turn money!

I have ordered some e.vivipara for the back of the tank, undecided about positioning get, may have one "wall" and then a gap off centre to the left and then a smaller "wall", or maybe just less than half a side

tank is still showing up nitrites and some ammonia, but why, there is nothing in it, the media was semi-mature, ????

help appreciated
Adam

probably some rotting material in their...i had the same thing going on before i started cycling

what shall i do, get some ammonia to cycle it again or what?

just did another test, and to my amazement it is perfect! have to just wait and see if this test is a one off or what but i think i may have spoke too soon lol.

I know i wont be able to "prove" this til later, but im wondering if co2 is making the water bad, thus while i have it off the water is fine, but a thought to check really, i could be talking codswallop, i will see later

and guys.. looking at the scape do you think i should push in and turn the angle of the second biggest stone? it seems to be a bit of a focal point for me, what do you rekon?

just as i expected i tested the water just, while the co2 was on and nitrite has risen to 0.25 ppm :(

please advise

This has really come a long. :)

I doubt the CO2 is making the water bad. You probably just have thing rotting in there. It happens.

Just recieved my boyu in-line diffuser, so hopefully i can stop wasting co2, im having a little algae issues at the moment, diatoms
I think this is down to bad water quality while running lights for 8hours, becuase i am stetching the time for water changes to every 2 days instead of every one, growth is much better, but maybe i need to use more tpn+, im using 2ml as it is, is it possible to use 3ml?
And the frogbit has grown immensley, but its "roots" are really long, can i snip these without causing damage to the plant, does the cutting stimulate new growth as with many "non floating plants"?

thanks

Here we are :) I have just secured the signing of some spiky moss from A1Matt, so that should give the tank a nice mature look when it grows. Didnt know how much to cut the vivipara down by, so i have, but not too drastic, i can always address that though.
