I havent decided, if you seen my thread im currently re-scaping so ill see how it looks, i think i could even grow dwarf hairgrass but i dont think it would look right in my tank with my current plants...

i would say glosso, it grows really quick, just try it, what have you got to loose. i will check your journal out!

Funds are a little short at the moment so i have time to decide ;)

looks ok mate so far, i dont really think you need 3.2wpg though, about 2.5 is enough, you will probably get monster algae issues, and you will find you have to run loads and loads of co2 and probably up the tpn+

Seems fine at the moment, ive had the lighting in a couple of weeks and no real trouble yet. Ill see how it goes :good:

Thanks, at the moment i have a bit of brown algae which appeared shortly after my crypts melting, so i put it down to that. But if i have any severe problems i can always cut down the lighting.

I have decided to make my 1000th post here.

So how is the tank going? Anything new?

:yahoo: 1000th post!

thanks, tank is doing fine, coming along slowly but surely, no point in posting new pics yet as growth isnt that brilliant, im contemplating another 11w arc pod, not sure

thanks

Looking good. I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks once it's grown a bit.

Also, £49.99 for substrate!? It better be good for that money... Mine was just a £5 bag of sand :D

well it is supposed to be the best substrate availible, coz its got everything ADA's substrate has, but doesnt leach ammonia and doesnt cloud the water.
thanks
Adam
ADA amazonia 1 doesnt leach too bad, we all hope oli knott has got it spot on, but i expect some tweaking, hence the reason for a few people waiting a few months. Growth should be really quick, it should be fairly easy in a nano. (imagine the cost for that in a 4 foot )

yea, lol, hundreds! to be fair it seems good stuff so far apart from crubling at the start, however that may be down to the fact i poured it in and left it in there for about 1 month before planting and filling, does the air break it down?

no the air wont. it maight have been bashed around a bit, after all i believe it is clay based. im curious to find out the results on this, as im going to be setting up a 4fter in the near future with EC, we shall have to compare, New soil, Vs the old stuff!!!
i do like the layout though ad. :good:

Just got back from a long weekend away and left my gran to do the fert duties, theres some algae, mainly on rocks and the glass, plants are doing fairly well, grown a bit! hopefully the nitrite will have dropped to zero soon so i can get some cherry shrimp in and let them do their thing.

will get some pics on later-promise!
