i hope she is ok too, i just tried some tubifex worms but nothing is interested in that!
i hope its ok but i hope i can find a slightly larger female to go with them, not having much luck though, can't find one anywhere!

It is a nice plec. I know you know your stuff but if you do decide to get it check it out thoroughly - check for sunken eyes etc as I've seen some plecs in not great condition in BAS now and then, that one does seem to have been there a while so must be eating etc though.

the rays will get to around 12" disc size, females usually a bit bigger than males, their tales now are around 1.5 times the length of their bodies so if my maths isn't so rusty id estimate a total length of 30" from nose to tail potentially.
i have seen other reticulatus with tails maybe the same length of their bodies but after reading i think its slightly different variations. these 3 seem to have really long tails!

once i get the ash flow problem under control hopefully i can start spending on my fish again, and mess up the cash flow again in the process haha nevermind!

yeah they are stunning plecs, the one i've seen is about 9 inch and its £140, i think im definitely going to get that but don't know when i'll have funds for the next big purchase after that!!!
its frustrating but i suppose if i had loads of money id spend it all on fish and still end up in the same position with no money lol, its a cruel world! haha
hopefully within a couple of weeks i will have that plec, so unless i get a bit camera happy in the meentime you'll have to wait until then for some more pictures! i will try and nick the girlfriends good camera again!

well.... we have some progress.
steve from essex aqutics rang me last night about the rays, he said he din't know how he got them mixed up. he said he can send me a female for free, in exchange for one of the males back, but now they have fattened up and settled nicely i don't want them to go so i might just buy another female and have 2 males and 2 females. hopefully this female will be more inclined to eat than the one i have, he said it will be a couple of weeks before the currier will be near me so im just waiting now.

sounds like your their best customer. you should definetly haggle with them tho for the female as in" well i didn't really want to have two males but after YOUR mistake i'm thinking of getting another female."
