If I had your tank and £140 for fish I would be straight there but if you can get some money off I dont see any reason why not :) From what I gather adult L14 are a bit of a collectors item sometimes

i aint even got £140 at the moment to spend on fish, but its been there about a year so it will be there in a few weeks or so i should have thought! yeah they are nice, and you don't see many about, especially the big ones, i just want a plec or 2 that is colourful and they are really bright and would look great in my tank, will put some serious thought into it over the next week or so!
ben, i don't plan on having any more rays, just the 3 will do, but in a month or so when i have the cash for a black ray i don't know what i'll do, if its small then i will be able to keep them all for a year or so but in time i just want a pair of black rays, probably leopoldi as the p14's re still too expensive for me to justify.
i wouldn't mind another big eel to go with the fire eel, probably a tire track, was looking at bas but they didn't have any.

My mate has some kind of golden awawana thing ( i dont know how to spell it  )

it's in a 100 gallon tank :p

i'll trry get a picture for you all some time xD

all i can think of is red tailed golden arowana or a golden crossback, the latter of which are really expensive, and 100 gallons isn't enough for any arowana! hopefully this year will be better than last and i will be able to complete my intended collection of fish, including the zebra shovelnose, asian arowana and a few more bichirs!!

yeah they are doing well, one of the fmales is not eating as much as the other two but she's catching up slowly so hopefully should be ok.
still trying to get the cash together to go to holland, not looking too promising, but hopefully i'll be able to get it!
i see a couple of leo's for sale for around £600 but no females so i could see that being a problem unless i can get to holland on your trip!
how are your rays doing T1? your females doing alright?

Amazing Looking Tank and Fish Dave, dunno if would be interested but young Arapaima Gigas are for sale ATM on Aquarist Classifieds

well i know my tank is a fair size but they grow bigger than my tank, by about double! lovely looking fish but not for a fish tank!!
just been looking at my rays and i see that 2 are male and only 1 is female, i ordered, and it is on the receipt, 2 females and 1 male, nd its the female that isn't eating very well, now im worried i'll be left with just 2 males if the non-eater doesn't improve. i emailed essex aquatics where they come from as i am annoyed!

oooooh that's well bad new's dave , especially after waiting so long for them. Bit of a tricky one with the distance between the two of you;s as they can;t really swap it out. Maybe they'll still be in the xmas spirit and send you the female out for free :)

Tank looks awesome!! I gotta throw in a comment about that stand though, I hope it hasn't already been discussed, I got to page 7 but didn't finish the rest, if so then I appologize. What's it made of? Looks like just like some sort of melamine covered pressed wood, but that can't be. As a carpenter I look at these things. I built a stand for my 180 gallon (6x2x2) and used 2-2x4's nailed together with supports every 18", might have been overkill I could probably park my van on it. But I look at that and the vertical supports look to be 1 inch max. Just curious.

well the stand is made of 15 mm laminated chip board.
i, as a cabinet maker, would look at the stand and not think it would hold but, here, as proof, it does!
if my calculations are correct 1 litre of water = 1 kiligram, there fore it holds just over a metric ton in water, the tank weighs at least 500 kilograms so, that stand holds well over 1.5 ton, id consider it reasonably strong.
its the uprights that make its strength, and the back that holds it square i suppose, i wouldn't say no to a bet you could put a car on this also and it would hold it. its made by a company called aqua stands and was custom made, aswel as the tank its self. i wouldn't have it sat in my dining room if i thought it wasn't more than strong enough to hold it!

yeah ben i doubt he is going to send me 1 for free! id more then happily order another female and pay for it, but i payed £35 each for them but the p+p of £3o would make it £65 so not worth it, he sends with jm curriers so i think the least he could do is send 1 for free and i'll pay for the ray, at the end of the day he guranteed me 2 females and 1 male, even the receipt says so, and he hasn't, not saying its his fault as its quite hard to tell really but still, it isn't my fault either!
i emailed him anyway, will wait and see what he says!
