thanx mattlee they actually do look sort of pimple like day 4 and still no sign of them getting bigger and no sign of distress in the fish himself :) fingers crossed it is the same as your discus had :/

my male betta is called chuck after chuck norris cos he got compleately battered by some angel fish i had in a comminuty tank. but after pulling him out and nursing him back to full splendor he now has his own "penthouse" tank :) the community tank is long gone now lol

malawi's can be mixed with any other fish.......as long as it is from lake malawi :) hope this helps

rocks are gooooood :) a good idea when introducing new fish to an established community is to move the rocks around a bit so all fish are on a more even fin territory wise.

as far as it goes there is no "set" stock level for mbunas......basically the more you have the less likely your are to experiencing aggression. obviously there are extreames but a sensible fish keeper should have enough sense to say "enough"

the only species on that list i would be concerned about would be the kribs... i have all of the other species list by yourself along with a fair few more. although kribs are classed as cichlids they are really better suited to a community tank. jewel cichlids will adapt to pretty much any tank...

i have bought a few fish from this store, i can recomend them to everyone bit on the pricey side but they have fish that i can't get anywhere else around my area. had no trouble with delivery they came first thing in the morning the following day individually bagged and stored in polystyrene box...
