Phoenix is a dashing name. I like the idea of naming by personality, but that takes time to develop properly.

My boyfriend named his betta "Grumples", due to his pouting expression that just happened to be natural for the fish's face. XD

Mine was full of personality. Named mine Flash because he kept flashing his fins at me before I bought him. Still does.

my male betta is called chuck after chuck norris cos he got compleately battered by some angel fish i had in a comminuty tank.
but after pulling him out and nursing him back to full splendor he now has his own "penthouse" tank
the community tank is long gone now lol
