How about taking the filter box off and giving the impeller a flick while underwater. I sometimes had to do this with my Fluval 3+ Alan

Hi, Make sure the impeller and housing are clean. Also, try tapping the top of the filter to see if it starts again. Alan

Can anybody give me an idea of which plants I could put in with a shoal of Clown Loaches (3-7 inches)? I have tried amazon swords and dwarf subulata, but they totally wiped them out!!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! Alan

Plastic plants are OK for clown's (they have been for my school of 18 that vary from 3" -7" anyway). In fact, they will strip live plants without eating them, out of boredom (as I found out with my amazon swords). Sand may be a better substrate, but they thrived on gravel before I changed to...

Nothing to worry about, that's what they do!!! You will be surprised where they decide to fall asleep as well. They will often go into a hole or whatever that hardly looks big enough for them to fit into!! Alan

I get mine from finest filters. They have their own website, or the Ebay username is the same!!! Alan

I would soak it for a few days after an initial soak with boiling water. I put a small piece straight into one of my tanks and it took me weeks to get the water clear again!!! Alan
