Hi,

Make sure the impeller and housing are clean. Also, try tapping the top of the filter to see if it starts again.

If you can't get to the lfs for a new filter, do you have an air pump? You can run an air stone to help with circulation and oxygen. That should get you through the night.

How about taking the filter box off and giving the impeller a flick while underwater. I sometimes had to do this with my Fluval 3+

Totally DEAD

Tank is 62L and the filter was a interpet PF2

I have taken the media out and placed it on the bottom of the tank.

I have Also increased my airstone flow !

I am from across the pond and I can not recommend the aqua-tech series of filters enough! I have a 15 year old workhorse 30-60 that is still going strong. As for advice to help tide you til the stores open, place your media over your air bubbles whether it be a curtain or a circle bubbler.
This will allow some water and air movement over the media to minimize bacteria colony death. This is why I am an advocate of always having a bubbler of some sort! Check your stats and do a water change as needed.

Good Luck Chappo! :good:

Just an update all my fish are alive and the internal filter has now been replaced with a fluval 105 !!! . I have used the old ceramic discs in the new filter .

^ You should do some water quality tests for ammonia, nitrites & nitrates after 24hrs to help make sure the filter media transferal has been successful :) .

Ammonia was 0.25

nitrate was 0

Nitrite was 0

I have done a water change will check again tomorrow .
