    i only read the first little bit im in a rush but do you have shells in your tank cuz that will boost the ph right up same with oyster chells that you can buy in bulk. if you want to bring it down use p.h down it wooks awsome .

    best thing you could do is add salt (aquarium salt) to your tank proper amount ofcourse whic is labled on the box. you could try useing parafix or melafex but it is your money it is much easyer for me to name the stuff but you have to buy it. do they have white poop by any chance?

    you do realize you will be waiting months befor the babys will be big anuff to be sold in that tank you would have been better off leaving them in the 40g :/ your 40g is masivly over stocked are you planning on getting a larger tank? your choice

    that fish was borin in the tank the best thing you could do is get a 10g and grow it out feed it 3 times a day in small amounts. it will grow quite fast. :flex:
