I was thinking about getting a pygmy/dwarf cory. So, do they have to be kept in schools, or could I just get one? And if I do need to get more then 1-2 how many is recommended? I have a 10 Gal tank with currently 5 female betta (maybe a sixth, she's in a quarantine tank and I may just keep her...

True, I love my one CT I have, bought him the same time I bought my Angels from Petco ;-; The Angels died a few days later, I think they were already sick from Petco, they never ate.. But my betta survived even when I didn't think he would ^^ (They were in separate tanks btw ^^)

Yea, that's not the best home for Bettas. 1-Gal is the absolute minimum for them. Try for 2.5 Gal + Also they do best at 78-80F so if you keep the house cold, then yes, you'll need a heater. But only for a 2Gal+ tank. Also a filter is a good idea for any fish ^^

Probably not, the male beta might mistake the guppies as another beta and kill them because of the tails. Generally male bettas are loners and don't like other fish in their personal space. And you got me looking at your dragons =P In a sec I'm going to post mine in my sig =P
