Well I got a breeders net and put the 3 fry that I could find in it :) They seem to be doing well so far, but my females that looked pregnant are still very large :blink:

Thanks :D I think I'll try and find a nice alrge net for them :) Good news there are now 3 of them, one is smaller than the other two though. I wonder what color they'll be. I have mostly neon blue tuxedos, but one orange wag and who knows what they bred with at the store :good:

The gravel I have is very smooth, and it is covered in resin, so I don't think it could do too much damage. Oh and one other thing I forgot to tell you guys. I have quite high PH, around 7.5. Is there a product I could use to help this, and would it affect the snails? Or should I just leave...

Thanks :D He came from a pet store, in one of the small betta cups. I'll try all that stuff. I don't see him eat any, but he might eat while I go turn away for half a second.

My tank is still in the process of cycling so it will be awhile till I actually get any new fish but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. It is a 20 gallon with a gravel bottom right now it has 5 platys, 3 mystery snails and a ramshorn snail. So what would you reccomend? :D

Pretty much as the title says. Are they compatible? I have a 20 gallon tank with afew plastic plants. I can make some caves for the shrimp if they need it :)

I haven't seen a store around here that doesn't keep them in small cups. The worst one I've seen is small jars that they will stack literally 5 jars high. One betta on top of the other, and in a pyramid type thing so the ones at the "base" of the pyramid are inaccessible. :sick:

I'll be making another topic on it, but my tank's been really green (not being able to see an inch through the water, literally) for a couple of weeks now. I'm starting to think it may be alge, but I'm still now entirely sure :blink:

In the case of the horses we just buy them from other people. And the cat's just seem to appear at our door step and the dog was from a breeder.

Well she is doing much better. Whenever it is almost time for their feeding she comes out and swims with the other fish. I don't see her alot of the time because of the cloudyness. She usually stays around the one plant but isn't really hiding in it. The cloudyness has gone don a very tiny bit...

Just read one of my fish books last night and am quite shocked. It said that you can have a max of 4 apple snails in a 25 gallon tank. :crazy: I have a 20 gallon with 1 ramshorn snail, 3 apple/mystery snails and 5 platys. Am I over stocked already? :crazy:

The sad thing is that over here I haven't seen a LFS have their bettas in containers any larger than that. Petsmart is the worst for this I think. They have small plastic jars (much like the one posted but clear) and they stack them or put them out in the isles where all the supplies are sold...
