Fish Crazy
Thats great news fishsticks. I wouldnt worry about the green water too much as it will clear in time and when you do a water change it will improve. I am really pleased that your platy is feeling better! Well done! GRJ
It sounds more like an algae bloom to me than a bacterial one. They are VERY hard to get rid of(I resorted to using a plant safe algae kiler, worked wonders).
I gotta point out, about the platy - with a very pregnant female, being inactive and hiding in plants is TYPICAL BEHAVIOUR. All of mine have done that starting up to four days before they actually gave birth, and immediately back to normal a day or so later when the hormones are gone. I've read about it heaps.
Good luck with the algae. I'm lucky I don't get much. Just a tiny bit on the glass - I clean that off the front, but I leave it on the sides for the pleco to eat, she likes it.
