I would try to keep it so it does not fluctuate more than 2-3 degrees. Even if it is a little higher than your fish are "supposed" to be kept at, it will be better for your fish as the swings will cause unwanted stress.

I would say no. During the summer the water will get scummy and loose too much oxygen. Mosquito fish will do fine but good luck finding them in a 10,000 gallon pond.

I've never ever heard that. Are you sure your not thinking about comet goldfish? Fantails don't get bigger than 7-8". 20g per is the rule for fancys.

We need some info. How often do you do waterchanges and how much do you take out each time? What filtration do you have on the tank? What are your water stats? Ammonia? NitrIte? NitrAte?

LOL they are harmless. I've been handling them for 20 years with no problems. You could use tweezers to pick them up, just make sure you don't squeeze them too hard. If you squeeze them too hard they will pop and a bunch of creamy white stuff comes out.

That tank would be perfect for one fully grown one or 2 small ones. I highly doubt it has eggs, how big is the fish?

It will fizz for a second when shaken but the bubbles will go away fast. If the bubbles stay on the surface and foam up then its not the right one.

If you can get it in the UK, try fresh waxworm as food. Its used as fishing bait here and tropical and coldwater fish LOVE them. They also float so koi don't lose them.
