Is the mollie that is hiding a female or a male? If it is a female those are some signs of labour so maybe its pregnant?

I have heard that guppies sometimes like hard water and i don't think if you switch the filters if it will kill the bacteria and maybe you should treat that fish with a little salt.

I have a new 10 gallon tank and 3 guppy fry and 2 swordtail fry i want to move them from my breeder net to my new 10 gallon but i just don't want to have them only living in the tank so i was wondering if i can put gold tetras in with the fry. Gold tetras aren't very big so they might not be...

I tihnk i will get gold tetras for my tank cause they are really tiny and they would probab ly have a hard time eating my swordtail fry. Corys will be a good addition to my tank and i am thanking anyone that suggested that.

If i put gold tetras in iwth the baby fry they might mot eat them because they are pretty tiny fish. Would that work?? :unsure:

ok i might not even put the babies in so what would be a nice seletion for a 10 gallon tank. Prefferably i would like to have tetras but im open to any other suggestions anybody has. Please your help is gratefully appreciated.

if the fish are expensive my parents will help finsce it. I just want the best for the baby fish and i want some other fish to be in the tank to. Catfish are great but is there any other fish i can put in there to?

nevermind i dont think in going to have 20 fry i only have 3 out of the 16 fry born of the guppy and i have 2 swordtail fry (the others were eatin by my dumb zebra danios)so the space i dont think will be a problem. There is nothing else i can put in like maybe neon tetras or somesort of tetra...

Well my LFS said if they mess up with the frogs they will give me an exchange for another dwarf also there aare guppy fry to because the fry are beimg born as i speak. there are probably going to be like20 more fry coming and i wqas thinking of putting all the fry into the new 10 gallon instead...

I bought this guppy 1 week ago it is a female and it has a gravid spot but it isn't fat like all the other guppies i've seen. the gravid spot has gotten bigger everyday but, she isnt fat she is skinny like normal guppies. Why is this?? THanks in advance Kevin

you can buy a breeder trap or net at your lfs

I JUST LOVE GUPPIES!!!!! :wub: If you want to breed them you might need another probably 5 gallon fry tank i think a good temp for them would be 24C And for the water changes i would change a fifth of the water every week.

youre lucky i have been waiting 2 months for my guppy to have babies

well thats a rip off cause at my lfs the clown plecos are 4.50 and clown loaches are 5.25 10 dollars thats pretty bad

instead of putting goldfish in it can't she put a siamees fighting fish in it and they are prettier and they dont need a filter :D

I would add corys too their a good addition to the tank

I worked in a lfs for this summer as a job and what disgusted me is that they put like 10 bettas in jars and didnt change their water or feed them and when they died the manager just left them there to rot and the one time i tried to feed them because i didnt want them to die i got in lots of...

Maybe one month or you can just see if it cant fit into your other fishes mouths thats what ive heard from a few people.

well one platy can easily have 21 fry they can have up to a hundred i believe. You might want to get a separate tank for the fry because yuo have quite a few maybe a five gallon with a sponge filter and it needs to be 50 percent the water they were born in. Hope this helps :D .

well how many fry do you have anyways? If you onlt have like 3 or 4 ide say keep them in there for about a month if you have more i dont knoow because if you keep them in there too long it will stunt their growth
