I told yesterday about how we had a new fish after one day of them being in their new tank.
This morning the 'fry tank' we had to construct was at the bottom of the tank and the fish was gone. We were both gutted.
We found it!!!!!! Can't believe the little survivor, he was hinding under a stone with 2 little black eyes looking back. We have made the contraption more secure until we can get a fry tank off our friend. He's grown and looks healthy and has just been feeding. I am so happy. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks to you both. We have checked under every little hiding place to see if there are more babies but couldn't find any. Just glad this one survived. At the moment it has a clear tail and orangy/pinky and clear body. Who knows who it belongs to but we think it could be guppy. The female guppy we found behind the filter, we thought she was stuck, maybe she was in labour. She did have a belly before and now it's flat on the bottom.
How big or how long before the baby can be placed in the tank with the others? I have read on various sites that say 3 or 4 days, doubled in length or 2-4 months. Where do you start??

What i've heard the way to do it is when you think that the fish are big enough to go into the main tank you find the smallest one and put him into it. If you don't find him once the day is done, then you better wait alittle longer.

Please don't experiment with the guppy fry by tossing the smallest in with the adults.
Wait until the fry are large enough before putting them into the community tank. The key word here is patience.
