I have a 10 gallon tank that isn't ready yet. I am wondering if there are any fish that can go with a baby swordtail fry.
I have always wanted to get aquatic frogs but they used to be too expensive but now there is a sale on them. Can they go with baby swordtail fry.
I would really appreciate any help anyone can give me and you can trust me that i wont get mad at anybody for any suggestions they make. :good:

The frogs will eat anything they can fit into there mouth and they get huge(think softball size) unless they are true dwarfs. But the regular ones are usually sold as dwarfs. Wouldnt risk it.

the frogs would quickly get big and could then hurt the fry, so maybe not the best idea. how many fry are there? will they be moving into anouther tank as they mature?

doh, missed the "a" ie 1 fry. how big is it?

Well my LFS said if they mess up with the frogs they will give me an exchange for another dwarf also there aare guppy fry to because the fry are beimg born as i speak.
there are probably going to be like20 more fry coming and i wqas thinking of putting all the fry into the new 10 gallon instead of a breeder trap.
Okay i guess aquatic frogs are out but are there any otheer fish i can put in with the fry.

if your swordtails still tiny i'd put the guppy fry in their and let them grow out together, if you put much else in you might run out of room later. only thing i added to fry tank were a few corys, they're peaceful and never heard of one attacking fry yet :)

nevermind i dont think in going to have 20 fry i only have 3 out of the 16 fry born of the guppy and i have 2 swordtail fry (the others were eatin by my dumb zebra danios)so the space i dont think will be a problem. There is nothing else i can put in like maybe neon tetras or somesort of tetra?
Please i wish there were other fish.
Maybe if i plant the tank very heavy the fry won't die and i can get other fish?
Please tell me if this will work?

if the fish are expensive my parents will help finsce it.
I just want the best for the baby fish and i want some other fish to be in the tank to.
Catfish are great but is there any other fish i can put in there to?

ok i might not even put the babies in so what would be a nice seletion for a 10 gallon tank.
Prefferably i would like to have tetras but im open to any other suggestions anybody has.
Please your help is gratefully appreciated.

take it easy stop bumping, when people have advice they will reply to your thread.

i recommend corydoras

maybe a few cardinal tetras? neons are getting worse and worse recently in my area, don't know if they're the same there though. still think corys would be a good dirrection, in that you could keep them in there permanantly even with future batches of tiny fry :)

I tihnk i will get gold tetras for my tank cause they are really tiny and they would probab ly have a hard time eating my swordtail fry.
Corys will be a good addition to my tank and i am thanking anyone that suggested that.
