as it goes the tank is riddled with them but he will not touch them i heck on him all the time but he always looks starved and i am kind of use to how his body bulges etc once he eats but lately nothing

hi i have never had a problem with my f8 puffer let alone his teeth, any way i put shelled cocckles etc in the tank but he will not touch them he will either not eat or wait until i have no choice but to put some food without shells in the tank forhis own sake.(after 11 days) what should i do...

i don't see why not the temperature is roughly the same as the water isn't it? i use to have mine on my decking in the summer and that is in sunny old Emgland.

i have for amazon sword plants in my tank and i havenoticed that a few of the bigger leaves are going brown and see through i was wondering, is the plant dyeing or are they geting ready to grow new stems/leaves?

nice tank, when i was your age i still had a common goldfish in a little plastics tank with one fake blant and bright yellow stones. well done. :)

i have always fed them on blood worm, i put them in a little dish o0f somesort(still frozen) get a stanley blade and hack the cube of bloodworm into tiny peices, i read it helps them grow that little bit faster.

i would also choose a pair of f8 puffers.

Nice fish, oyu must have some guts to have discus in with parrots, they arent the cheapest fish about to experiment with.

i have mine on from when i wake up at about 7am and turn them off at about 8pm in the summer, and a shorter amount of time in the winter. i basically turn them on once the sun is completely up and turn them of when the sun starts to go down so that way they they have the sun rise and the sun set.

welcome. :) if they are fish eggs, i have never seens an egg float they always tend to be stuck to a surface i.e plant or the filter it self.

but saying that with the co2 they should grow pretty quick anyway shouldnt they? are you think of adding fish? if i had you tank i would deffinately steerclear of fish like plecs because they seem to destroy my plants, i could just imagine a shoal of neons and rasboras swiming in and out. p.s...

thats a good point you'll find the more dominant one will grow quicker and kill the smaller one pretty quick, i found that out the hard way :(

my 6 inch kisser has recently got them aswell, i asked my mate to check them out and he said they arent anything to worry about, he said maybe they are just like moles which we get on our skin, the only thing is they tend to disdsapear lol.

hey guys has anyone found that java fern decides to sprout everywhere? I even have java fern growing on java fern. any way i was thinking is it safe to remove the spores if that is what they are called off the plants etc and plant them somewhere else?

great tank but thay silver shark will get very big mine gre to about 6 inchs in the first 3 months. beleive it or ot i had to investin a whole new tank for him (worth every penny though.)

^^ i think that might cost a little bit lol what i done was get some swords and some java fern with a few rocks around the bottom this tends to draw they eye away from the black filter

i have found that most tetras do mix well mine do any way( perHAPS THEY THINK THEY ARE THE SAME TYPE OF FISH) any way the only i have found not t shoal at all are black neons butthins is only what i have found perhaps others have found it different.
