You may try some blue star damsels they are v.peaceful and they graze on algae as they are relatives of fw cichlids. DG

IMO i would say its the tang. They ideally should be the last thing added to the tank, even if thay are they can be a bully to smaller fish. also how many chromis did you put in the tank? as they need to be with company or they have a tendency to just pine and die. DG

i would go for a tmv v2 400 for a tank that size. cheaper that a aqua medic and they are way better. aqua medics are harder to regulate water lvl on. DG

i have a mud sump. dont see much dif tho then when i didnt have it, i would stick with cheaper mineral mud if money is tight. does help with ye nitrates tho ;) its expensive but i think i would rather of spent the £10 on some purigen than £40 on some m.mud. calerpa grows well in it tho ;) DG

i use a tmc rio 1700 on my tank and it pumps up 3" thru 3/4" pipe they have real good lift on them. i would reccomend them ;) dont forget your overflow pipe needs to be around tiwce the diameter of your return pipe ;) DG

already ontop of the sun coral, only thing it opens up for is cyclopese. yeah its at the end of the bed tho its the head end lol. oh and the sweets are just some glass buttons, they are great! used to be more of them buy they got eaten by the worker that helped me move it all ;) lol thx DG

we sell silver sand for tank at our place, its fully inert and non compactable, no probs at all m8. just stur it every week or so. DG

i get my pipe from work (lincoln aquatics) most normal plumbing pipe is c**p for marine as the salt will eat thru the pipe in time. reminds me i need to order my 3 series aswell ;) cant wait to get my tank finished :d:D:D

ok so i got a new tank, 3ftx18x12 drilled with a weir :D gonna replace my 2ft nano with it. will try and get pics of it, cant fill it till weds tho, and i still need to get all the pipe work, but hey its cool :D gonna get me a MH for it next week aswell. :D upgrading tanks is fun :D DG

well i got a few £££ set aside, was gonna get a viper MH light for my tank, but i think the t5s are doing the job fine. pondering on what one to get lol :P many of you would say i am nuts for passing over a MH for a microscope lol :D DG

ok today at work we got in a microscope that u attach to the glass on your tank, and then u can see all the polyps and thinkgs real close up. i think it was called a ogals or somthing, cant find a trace of info about it online, anyone got any idea what they are called? i know there is a feature...

lol i get algae just like the rest of you guys, i just cleaned the tank b4 i made the vid ;) dont get much algae tho as i have a 18gal fuge lol. thinking of getting a phos reactor aswell. and i hay be getting a cheap ozone unit to run with my skimmer ;) not bad for a 18gal nano lol. DG

ok hows this sound? i am thinking of upgrading my 2ft tank into a 30inch or maybe a 36inch tank, would it be ok to put it on the 2ft tank stand if i put some board under it to disperse the new weight properly? thanks DG
