Has anyone ever used or seen fish toys? Such as floating objects the fish will play with? Rings to swim through etc etc? Just curious if this has ever been done or if anyone has seen fish use them, or would it strictly depend on the fishies personality?

Like a dolphin and a beach ball. Any suggestions.

My oscar has a plastic dog toy shaped like a fish floating around in his tank. He abuses it. Ping-pong balls are another good option for large fish :)

hmmm not rearly a toy but them castles with holes through them.
i remeber when i was little, we had 2 gold fish in a 5 gal or some thing :/ but we put this castle in the tank and we must of waited about 3 hours until the fish went through the hole  looking back it was stupid , but we all do silly things when we are little.

At my LFS they put the tubes that connect hamster/gerbil cages in with the fish, and they love to swim through those. I don't have any in my tank yet, but it's fun to watch the fish in the LFS.

we have bubbles for them , the guppys and swordtails love them :)

we also have a bamboo ornament we got from a fish shop , with a hole either end and a couple holes in the middle , they love swimming and chasing each other through that too :)

I read somehwere about a goldfish having a minature football and goal in his tank. And apperently the goldfish used to knock the ball into the goal. Whether this was true or not who knows ;)

My fish like to tease our cats - they now when the cat is "keping an eye" on them, so will come down to the front of tha tank at the bottom until they get the cat worked up enough to try and bat at them.

It's pretty funny to watch sometimes. It seems to be the only time msome of my fish will go into this area of the tank.

no the rc has moving blades that could harm the fish unless they were caged and protected

either way, someone has a lot of patience.

"toys" aren't as important to fish as an interesting environment is. most fish like things to swim through, under, around etc. my betta tank is a good example in the sense that the betta is constantly on the move. he has plants to swim through, snails to stare at, and half of a wiffle ball to hide in. unfortunately for me, he even has plenty of algae to nest in.
