One of my friends has a 10 gallon tank with gold fish, black moors, and some feeder fish. He has 3 main problems. 1. The moors won't swim normal, they swim facing toward the ground. Is this possibly swim bladder disease? 2. The goldies developed black spots on their heads, it has since passed...

I got a new 55 gallon yesterday. It is setting up right now. I am getting quite a few new fish, just need to decide on them.

Haha, my firends oscar does crazy stuff like that. He likes to swim at like a 30 degree angle when he is attacking his prey. Any other time he is perfectly normal.

I just read they will be about adults before they start to mate. Also, they can lay upwards of 1000 eggs each spawning! Do you have a big enough tank for that?

I am 17, and I turn 18 tommorow! B) Anyways, I know a lot more younger people who have aquariums than older people. Just having fish and watching them is a pretty serine thing to do in the oh so stressful life of a student. :rolleyes:

I would imagine not, bleach is very harmful, and I would imagine would kill your fish. :-( However, I am still kinda new, maybe not. It's my natural assumption however.

I have heard that snails can grow rather quickly. if they are very acive and are eating and don't show symptoms. I am sure they are probably ok.

I don't think that is with neons. I have heard that about some fish, but I am not sure which kind it was... :S

I have heard from many people they will only grow according to their enviorment. Is this true or not, and if so to what extent? Also, if there is nothing I can do, anyone interested in providing a good home for an Iridescent Shark?

How long do I have, he is in a 10 gallon right now, I am probably getting a 55 gal. soon. I know people who would take him, but they don't have any bigger tank than me, and I will NOT give him to anyone who I don't think can provide for him.

At my local fish store, they have a Red Eye Tetra. It looks just like it is named. It has a body like a bloodfin or neon tetra, but they all have red eyes. I couldn't find any info on them here. Maybe, I am just not seeing it though. In any case, I am very interested in buying some of these...

I wish my fish store had cool stuff like that. I have a selection of like 25 fish available at my nearest store. I need to go up to Des Moines and check stuff out, but a half an hour is quite a time to transport any fish.
