I got a new 55 gallon yesterday. It is setting up right now. I am getting quite a few new fish, just need to decide on them.

Ya, I will try to get some pictures of both here soon.

Hi GTP2002 :)

Congratulations on getting your new tank!

I hope you get some more cory cats too. The two you already have would love to play with others in a bigger school. :D

Congratulations on your new tank!! The best part about getting a new tank is decorating it, and feeling the thrill when you let the first fish go in it, even if they are just the feeders used for cycling. :)

I was probably gonna pick up some more in the next few days.

I picked up 2 more Cory cats yesterday. Hey what is a good way to tell males from females? I want to breed. Is there anyway aside from their reproductive tubes?

Hi GTP2002 :)

What kind of corys do you have?

With some species of corys it's harder to tell the sexes apart than with others, but there is a general rule they all seem to follow. If they are mature, it is easier to see the difference than if they are still young.

The females are larger than the males. They are wider and usually longer too. The easiest way to compare them is to view them from above. You can see their overall profiles that way.

Males also have longer and more pointed ventral fins. The female's are larger and rounded.

There are some species that have slight color variations, but for the most part this is not the case. :D
