Change 1/2 the water during a gravel vac. Raise the temp to 87-88 degrees and add a little salt. Keep it like that for 2 weeks. Do another 50% water change using same temp water and SLOWLY bring the temp back down. Do not lower the temp quickly, it will kill and/or stress your fish.

Room Temperature is...um.... the temperature of the room the tank is in. My lobster is in an unheated tank in my living room and keeps at 70-73 degrees.

Get some 100% polyester batting from a knitting/craft store. It works well at removing those particles, is cheap as can be and tank safe. Just cut pieces that will cover the sponge, layer 2-3 and keep changing/cleaning them every couple days.
