Angel compatibility

I'm thinking of getting a couple of angelfish for my 29 gallon, since my LFS just got in some really beautiful 1" ones (I LOVE growing fish up from babies! ) and was wondering... would they be compatible with a senegal bichir and African butterfly fish? I'd be raising them in a 10 gallon until they were no longer bite-sized before putting them in the 29 gallon *lol*
The bichir keeps to himself so I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be a problem, it's the butterfly I'm a little unsure about

If those two angels decide they don't like the butterfly, it's toast. Angels can be tough cookies. But it should be OK. I have seen the two cohabitate in the LFS.

just make sure the 29gal is 18inches high as they grow to have long fins

The bichir should be fine... he has never nipped anything a day in his life and only goes after things small enough to fit in his mouth (he's blind in one eye for that matter, so he can barely even catch a ghost shrimp, hehe)
Besides, he's on the bottom 90% of the time

I'll try it and see how it works out. My LFS will gladly take the angels back if there are any problems in the future, I'm sure
