So I moved into an appartment w/ my boyfriend a month ago. I FINALLY got a tank of my fishies over here, but I have discovered a problem. I was doing a water change w/ my pyhon gravel cleaner, and the water pressure here sucks. It barely picks the poop up, if at all.

This wouldn't be that big of a deal, as I could just use a regular gravel cleaner; but I got one of those stands that can fit 1 tank on the top & 1 on the bottom. If I can't figure out a better way to pyton, how do I clean the bottom tank?

I don't wanna go back to the buckets!!!

Get a powerhead and a long hose right to the toilet. Attach a rigid tube with a gravel cleaning head to the powerhead inlet and attach the long hose to the outlet with a hose clamp. That pump once primed will be enough to move the water out of the lower tank.

Just make sure the powerhead/tube/gravel vacuum head are short enough so the powerhead is submerged or it won't work.

The whole thing should cost about $25-30.
