Hi....sheesh..my blue lobster has molted for the second time since getting him last fall. I must be having good luck. So...I think I"ve read this somewhere before...won't he eat the molt if I leave it in? I've heard it returns certain minerals. Thanks. SH

Leave the old shell in the tank, your lobster will eat it and gain some sweet minerals.

Yup leave it in. Hey did you get your blue lobster at Pet Experience in Bethpage? That's where I got mine.

What species is yours? I am looking for a Male Blue marron to pimp my female out to.

Hi..actually...I don't work far from Pet Experience, but, I got the blue lobster from Liveaquaria.com. I've been to PE quite a few times and their tanks don't look well kept although they do get some good stock. I went there to check out their LR before setting up my nano and their LR was covered in algae and had no color. Their staff has never asked me ever if I need help. Well.....went off on a tangent. My blue has not shown any signs of aggression. I believe the species is Procambarus. SH

I only buy stuff there on Tuesday night or Wednesday after they get a shipment and only if it's fresh stock. Normally I go to A Lot of Fish in Babylon Village.

If you have never been there, it's worth the trip just to see the tanks. It is everything that Petcosmart or that place isn't.

Noted..the only SW place I've been comfortable with so far is in Plainview Plaza. SH

Hi there,

I'm new to the site, but found this topic while trying to find advice about my Lobster/Crayfish! He's started shelling (I think) and now he seems to spend alot of time in my tank just lying there and his tail all curled up. I'm worried he's dying! Is this normal?

Hope someone can reassure me!

Biggi
