I put washing up liquid round it and all other connections as there didn't seem to be any micro bubbles in the tank .. The lid is a one you turn just a quarter to lock it, the fluval looks like a screw thread lid which I'm sure would be a better seal

The JBL has locking nuts but its leaking from the lid grrrrrr. May look at getting the fluval one

Yes but the frickin bubble counter is leaking co2 , so using without untill I can get one.... What one do you use ?

Found it........ :-) there's a black 5mm cap on the end of the big knob thingy.. Took it off with a knife and the Allen key nut is in there

Found the instructions online but very vague ...it says it is adjustable but no further instructions on turning it up, Don't want to turn that nut now as you said it could possibley be for spare dial......

The courier company should pay for a new one if they cracked the glass. They have insurances

I'm turning the Allen key nut but the pressure doesn't seem to go up or down and worried I may break it if I turn to hard

It's on 1.5 bar at the moment and I can't turn the bubbles up as not enough pressure.. I'm not sure if I'm turning the black Allen key nut right

I want to turn my psi up on my regulator due to not enough pressure to push through my inline atomiser , I have the JBL reg and I think you can turn it up with Allen key but how instant is it as I've turned it a quarter turn and no difference or am I doing something wrong....

I just got a 35kg pub cylinder today, £50 returnable deposit for the bottle and £18 to fill it up. Should last a while :-)

I tuned it off for more than 30 mins ... I have done it now with a pair of grips :-)

I just got a pub co2 cylinder to replace the existing jbl bottle but I have turned the valve off on the jbl 500m bottle and there is still co2 coming out into the tank. Any ideas as I daren't unscrew it in case it causes damage to me or the house :-(

The seneye and api seem accurate with each other. I will wait for the inline defuser to be delivered (from Hong Kong ) and see if that does a better job than the JBL reactor as its meant to diffuse 90%+ before I go down the R O route.. But the co2 would still need to knock the ph down a fair...

I have the large shop bought one and had the same problem.... I now use a two foot piece of half inch plastic overflow pipe with 4 foot clear tube on it. I find it ideal for my sand as you only need to hover it over the bottom and it gets all the rubbish up

The co2 is getting into the tank at the rate of 3 bubbles per second which I thought is quite high, I'm waiting for a inline defuser that I ordered to hopefully do a better job of dissolving the co2. The ph test is api and using the seneye and kh is a JBL one Going by the chart the ph and kh...

My tap water is 40 and tank water stays at 40ppm

The ph only goes down a small amount and the reactor is the JBL that came with the 602 kit. Going by the chart my ph and K H needs to be in the green .. I have the JBL permanent co2/ph checker in the tank and it has never read above 3ppm, so if I reduced the ph/kh the co2 work and get up to 30...

My k h is 11 and ph 8 so the co2 doesn't do any thing. It's been running for 3 weeks now and ph only goes down a bit when I have it on :-( .. I have seen R O units for around £70

Yes it was a marine tank originally and the sump is in full use.

I use the jbl daily drops so that should top it up for trace elements ( I hope )

Is there any reason why I can't use tetrapond plantaMin for my aquarium as it treats 5000ltr for £5.35

I use play sand .. If you wash it well and put it slowly in with a jug you should not get hardly any cloudiness , I do it a lot when I top up

I've just bought the jbl 602 co2 system and am a little worried that I will do something wrong.. Do I need to buy a drop checker as I keep reading I should test with one regually ... ?

I've bought one from M A for £225 just gotta sus it out now
