I'm thinking of getting the JBL ProFlora m603 for my 6 foot tank, has anyone used one of these as £299 is a big outlay if they are not that good... And how long do they last before needing new cylinder..Thanx

Hi mike, can you buy a full brand new CO2 extinguisher and remove the top to put the gauge thing on, without it decompressing. i.e. is there a valve inside the extinguisher, or do you
have to buy them empty? Also, are there any washers or gaskets required to put the new top on it? cheers

iv never done it but if you get the one with the horn, and have the pin in the handle, then its when you squeeze the handle that it comes out, i think thats the only thing to release it, but lots of people use them... and ud need a regulator and needle valvue bubble counter maybe solnoid if your turning it off.. and 1 way valves
the thead says it all i think

Yeah thanks, I found the thread now. The only thing I'm left wondering is if it is easy to find the right parts that go together, the fittings, regulator to solenoid and so on.

some regs come with solinoids, after youv got the right reg you can just use co2 pipeing, the pressures not going high. hopefully

i know, if i were to get one thats the one i would, iv got it on my watch list for the future :p
