i have 3 head and tail lights tetras w/ my 4 neons and there fine.

when the power filter is on it makes the water ripple and that is how most oxygen is diffused into the water if the power goes out then the power filer goes out and there is no more ripples. ok now that thats settled what if u had a air bubbler and the power goes out. the same thing occures...

if u live in the U.S. u can go to lowes hardware or home depot and get sand for like $3 a bag(50 lbs.). u could probley go to a land scaping place and get some for cheap but b 4 u put it in ur tank do a vinegar test(put some sand in the vinegar if it bubbles dont use it). i used regular play...

if u want to clean the sand out just put it in ur bath tub and run the cold water for about 15-25 min its should clear up. i like the stand.............nice job

i just rinse them of w/ hot water and scrub them down. havent had a problem yet. go to lowes hardware they have a bag of slate for $5 (US) and a can of river rock or $4 (US).

i have a metal lid so mines not gona move that. if u have a petsmart or a pets + near you they have a 2 1/2 gal tank thats awsome. i have my beta in that along w/ a african dwarf frog. the tank cost bout $9 where i live. btw - dont lte this stop u from fish keeping. ive done the same thing. :-(

try to slow down ur tank. no fast moving water and that will help. but ur best bet would be to put it in a bucket out side.

dyed fish = dead fish i say we tanke every body that dyes fish and make them neon green and purple. not really, but this is a very cruel way for fish to live. fish look good on there own. most fish that r dyed to "bring out the color" look good w/o the dye and they live longer...

hrm..... i only have i tank going right now. but i seem more intrested in my 100 gal that is not running than in my 10 gal that is. lol it happen like that when i got my animals not like set up but more intrested in the newer pet 3 dogs - Spot(dalmation), Babe(begal), Sweetheart(mut) 3 birds...
