    Dominant Zebra Danio?

Whenever one of my fish seems timid around feeding time, I just put some food in the path of the filter and the water rush pushes the food down to the bottom where they're not afraid to get food. But it may be different with your fish. I had livebearers. Valerie

It'd be cool if you got 2 more albinos. That would be a neat group of fish. Valerie

Hello....I HAVE TO GET RID OF THESE DARN SNAILS!!!

I thought salt only killed slugs? If you can get them off the filter do the trap or fish thing. Let Mother Nature take its' course. :D Valerie

    snails

Well, they do produce extra poo that might cause more of a load. If you want to get rid of them, just get a snail eating fish and put the fry in a breeding net. Just make sure the fish doesn't eat all 100 at one time. :D Valerie

    Mac's new Amazonian style Aquarium

Besides a background, how about a bottom feeder? Some cories or a pleco? Those guys are always good to have around. Valerie

Where do they find these people!?!?

They always like to mix up the fish to add diversity, I guess. It's a shame. Bettas are such beautiful fish. Valerie

    gills sticking out help??!~!!!!!!

With the tank, you do need to have a filter and the cave. But I would get him some live plants. My betta really appreciated the live plants that I gave him and got pretty upset if I would ever take them out. :D I agree on having a top. Valerie

    Blue green algae

As far as feeding goes, you really only need to feed fish 2 times a day, and does the syno really need 4-5 pellets? I feed my pleco 2-3. If you want to get rid of the algae, get some black mollies. They feast on the stuff. Valerie

    Glass Shrimp

I have a crayfish (free) in my tank and I love to watch him when he roams around for food with all of those little feet. :D If I had a digital camera, I would show you. But I'm against digital, being a photographer and all. :P ;) I think it takes away the art aspect of picture taking. But...

    My Oscar and Pleco...

I'm not sure about compatibility, but I do know that most Plecos are big veggie eaters, so I would give him some sinking wafers with algae and cucumber or zucchini is always accepted. Valerie

    have you ever had ?

If it's any type of algae, all you need are some hungry mollies to take care of it. I swear, those mollies are like little maids in your tank. They eat any algae they can find. Valerie

That is most definitely fin rot. Says in my book o' illnesses that to treat fin rot you improve water quality and correct any enviromental causes. Remove fish and treat affected area with Myxazin or gentian violet. good luck, Valerie :)

Well, they said he had something like Parvo, but I know he doesn't have Parvo because I take care of my dogs and get any shots that they need. But that's what they're going to treat it as. I could just slap someone for saying I could let my puppy get Parvo. :-( But, he's doing much better...

    Moving the Sailfin pleco...

Hey all, I'm getting ready to transfer my huge Sailfin Pleco to his new tank. But, the two nets that I have for the old tank are not nearly large enough to encase him. If I put them together, one would fit over the head and neck part and the other would probably just fit over the fan of the...

Well, it all depends on how many fish you have stocked in the tank. If you have the max number it's around 25%, otherwise it's good enough at 20%. Valerie
