I don't know what to do about my male Zebra. He has always been very aggressive but it has come to the point now where tank maintenance is becoming quite tricky as he is now attacking me. I guess I can deal with that, but my concern here is the 2 females in the tank. He never attacks or nips them but he is always so randy ) that he never gives them a moments peace. Often they hide in nooks and crannies that he can't fit into just to get away from him. When he is being somewhat calm, which usually only happens a few times a day and only lasts a minute or so, the ladies find him quite interesting and actually approach him. But then he'll start getting all crazy again, and they'll take off and hide again. I've tried lowering the temp from 82F to 78F and that helped a little bit, he goes through his calm mode more often. I've tried removing the females for a week or so, but he gets angry and starts attacking his reflection in the glass . When the females go back in, he's calm for a few hours, but then just goes back to his old behaviour. Now when I put the net in the tank, he attacks it, grabs on to it and wont let go, guess he knows this means the ladies are going out again.
Anyone have any ideas on what to do to calm him down a notch?
Oh, by the way, that's him on the left (my avatar)
