    Nice topic :good: Mine are (for now): 1). C. weitzmani 2). C. oiapoquensis 3). C. axelrodi 4). C. semiaquilus 5). C. arcuatus

    Breeding Or Just Mad?

Most likely they will spawn for you. Bronze C. Aeneus is one of the easiest cories to spawn. And if the previous owner said they saw eggs all over the glass, then it was most likely them. Are these the only fish you are keeping in the tank? If you want to make them really happy, then get...

    Cories + Algae Wafers =

I think you are right about that too. My cories get something different everyday. They go crazy over Spirulla (sp?) Disks too.

    Cories + Algae Wafers =

See thats the thing. I can give my cories the Hikari algae wafers and some other sinking wafers (Hikari sinking wafers you are talking about, Tetramin tropical tablets) and they seem to go after the algae wafers first. The only thing I have seen them go for first is the earthworm sticks I got...

Just Thouhgt I'd Share Something Neat

On the topic of C. aeneus growing, I have learned the Albinos seem to grow a lot faster then the bronze. Anyone else noticed this? EDIT: Thats cool about the RTBS and the cories getting along. The shark is kinda like their body gaurd

    Eggs!

Congratulations on the eggs :good: What kind of cories are these?
  12. Barracuda518

    Cories + Algae Wafers =

Yes, algae wafers have a lot more then just algae in them. They have other nutrients the cories like and need.
  13. Barracuda518

    Habrosus

I dont think there will be a problem. Dont worry about the albino cories not getting enough food. You will feed them sinking wafers that the danios wont get to quick enough. The danios will eat their fair shair of flake food though. I saw another post where you were asking about what to feed...
  14. Barracuda518

    Habrosus

What other fish do you plan on putting in the tank besides the fish you listed? If its just the danios and the 6 albinos, then there should be enough room for some C. habrosus.

    Frayed Dorsal Fins

No this is not normal. Sounds like these cories are not healthy, or something has been picking on them and damaged the dorsal fins. What kind of cories are you talking about?
  16. Barracuda518

    Fluval Filters And Cory Fry

Im not familiar with the filter you mentioned, but you actually wont need a filter for the first couple of weeks, just a airstone to put oxygen in the water. Daily water changes and cleaning the tank will be like having a filter. If you put a filter in the tank too early, then the fry will...

    Cories + Algae Wafers =

Yeah, mine really like Hikari algae wafers too. Actually they like just about anything Hikari makes. I put the whole wafer in the tank and all of them will crowd around it and push it around the tank. Maybe I missed this, but what kind of cories did you say you had? EDIT: Grammer
  18. Barracuda518

    Cories + Algae Wafers =

No, they are not odd. My cories love algae wafers too. Ive yet to see a cory that doesnt like them. What kind of algae wafers is everyone else using?

    Grieving Corys

I dont agree with that. Cories like to be in groups and if you dont keep them that way you will notice a difference in their behavior. Have you ever added a group of fish to tank where there was only one and once they found each other, they all go crazy? I dont know if cories "grieve," but...

    Schools Cancled For The Day

Well, like you said, plants are good because they will rest on the leaves and also they will sit under the leaves and rest. Mine spend 90% of their time either in a cave or sitting in/under plants. Caves would be good too. Of course, the substrate should be sand because they will dig in the...

Ok, Someone Asked For A List Of My Corys

I dont know if Frank is selling any right now or not. I got the ones from Frank off of Aquabid a while back. I know he is really busy these days and I dont know if he is selling any fish right now. Either way, both of them have top notch fish.

Ok, Someone Asked For A List Of My Corys

Frank and Corys R Us (Bryan) are two different people. Frank took pictures to put on Bryan's site. Corys R Us and BetterBettas are the same person and these are simply the names of Bryan's companies.

    New Cories!

Also, we must remember that these "algae" wafers have a lot more then just algae in them. They also have other nutrients that the cories like and need. My cories will eat just about anything I put in the tank, tablet wise. My cories will not touch vegetables either, but go crazy over algae...

Can Anyone Help I.d My Frav Cory Friend

No, they are not very common. This is the first time I have seen them from anyone other then Frank or Ian. They both have an extensive collection and will have just about any cory you are wondering about.

Can Anyone Help I.d My Frav Cory Friend

Frank, I was thinking the same thing. The cory pictured definately has a longer nose. It looks to be one of the "long nosed" cories to me.

    New Cories!

I know my cories really like the algae wafers and the spirulina disks. I feed mine the usual tablets and frozen stuff, but they get an algae wafer quite often.

    Cory And Porthole

Yeah, mind hid a lot to when I first got them. Once they settle, they should come out more. I like them too and am always on the lookout for some. I would really love to have some of the Dianema urostriatum like you got, but have never seen them around here.

    Corydoras Weitzmani Update

Yeah, thats what Ive heard. I also heard, once they start spawning, its not that hard to get them to do it again. Keep me updated on the progress :good:

Not yet. I havent tried to breed them, but will in a couple of months :D

    Cory And Porthole

There wont be any problems at all. I have been keeping Portholes (Dianema longibarbis) with cories for over a year and a half. These fish are very skittish and really need to be kept in groups just like cories. I have not seen an ounce of aggression from them. I got the only 4 I could find...
