I just usually thaw the frozen peas in my hand under water then squish them then drop them in and they get eaten pretty quick especially by my festive cichlids :P

We've just took around 65% of the fry out of the tank and are putting them in a different tank, Hopefully the Honduran's will still look after the rest of the fry. Not sure if it's a good idea to take the rest out or not.

We tried to Syphon but only picked two up and that was only by going really close to the gravel.

Anyone got any tips for capturing fry from the cichlid parent's? The fry aint swimming high enough for us to catch with a net it's nearly impossible or we'll just be picking up one or two. Will taking the fry off the parents cause them to not want to breed anymore or will they just swiftly move...

Thanks :) I just tried taking the fry out but it seems improbable at the moment as they arn't swimming high enough. I managed to grab a few of them and put them in a mesh trap, Had to take a female krib and put it in another trap also as it was causing to much trouble for the parent's of the fry.

Really need to know if i can use anti white spot and fungus medicine like melefix etc. at the same time.

Should never put fish in the same day as your setup, Gotta let the filter mature and build up good bacteria, Petco i think i've heard of that if it's anything like Pets@Home then you'll always get trouble from places like that, Best places are your local fish shops. Not trying to be an #14###...

A few fish acting weird, Male Fighter's mouth looking a bit paler like white ish from grey. Old female krib stationary instead of annoying the honduran's and looks a bit paler. A few lost fin's to some fish, I think this is to do with going so close to the breeding Honduran's.

Just looked at my tank we got fry free swimming now, I woke up this morning depressed about losing fish now this i dunno if be happy or sad! Not sure if to take the fry out as soon as possible, The Honduran's may not be able to keep control of the fry as we have a big tank but a lot of crazy fish.

Woke up this morning with 1 Black Neon Tetra dead and 2 other tetra's severely fin rotted. I don't know what to do, We have nearly every treatment possible but only using 1 at a time is a hinderance on fixing this situation. Please help.

Hi, thanks for your reply , sorry didn't realise they were a different type of cichlid. The tank is a four foot tank and there is 3 females and one male fighter in the tank. Also the kribs look kinda paired , they follow each other but look like they have no intention of breeding atm.
