Sajica Tankmates

Hi ,

Just saw a beautiful sajica cichlid in a shop and was wondering what would go best with it if i was to buy it . I Heard they can be very peaceful but was wanting to make sure it would be ok, i have angelfish,coffee platy's, Dwarf Gourami's, fighters, kribs, cory's a rainbow shark and some black neon tetra's in my tank , would it be ok to go in with them?

Hi, Sajicas are New World cichlids, not African, so hopefully a Mod can move this to the correct place for you

You dont say what tank size you want to house these in, can you tell us as it will help with any answers you get.

In a large enough tank, they should be fine with the other fish you mention, assuming the fighters are female? They are relatively peaceful/placid cichlids compared to the larger species, the only problem fish I can see from your list would be the Kribs, particularly if these are breeding kribs?

Hi, thanks for your reply , sorry didn't realise they were a different type of cichlid.

The tank is a four foot tank and there is 3 females and one male fighter in the tank. Also the kribs look kinda paired , they follow each other but look like they have no intention of breeding atm.
