I forgot to put in water treatment for my betta, thankfully when I change his water, I let him adapt to the new water slowly (using his cup he stays in) so he only got a tiny bit of that water. He is a happy fish though, didn't seem to mind it at all.

I know a lot of people on here (myself included) have terra cotta pots in our tanks. I boiled my new ones, then rinsed them with dechlorinated water and put them in.

*butting in* I have tried the treatments that say it kills both chlorine and chloramine, and it does not seem to be working. I also have an ammonia reading in my water. i heard Prime is supposed to be quite good for chlorine.chloramine.ammonia in water.

Thanks Amber. I don;t want to keep them with anything really, unless they are compaitble with bottom feeders/scavangers. If they are not, then it will be just the two of them. :)

thanks for the info. I saw some blue rams at one of the lfs (one of two that I will actually buy from) and they are just beautiful. I am waiting until I have a larger tank though, I don't want to subject my rams to a small tank.

Oh my, I saw some blue rams today at the lfs, and wow, they are even prettier in person!! They were just little guys/girls though, but so beautiful.

A friend of mine had recently started his 25gallon and wants to make a clay sculpture(s) for it. He asked me, but I have no idea, so I thought I would post. Are clay sculptures submergable in tanks and what kind of clay, paints, etc are okay? He has neon tetras in it, if that matters. :)...
