I isolated it in a mug for now, and to get a better shot. Apologies for the green: Almost clam like structure? Just noticed that it swims like that, opening and closing its 'shell'.

Yep it moves, kind of pulses. It ended up over near the water overflow, so here's another pic (not great either ... I'll dig out my real camera with macro setting):

I also wanted to take the opportunity to add a couple of photos of the back of the tank. This shows the three compartments, left is the drip tray and media, middle is where we put the heater, right is the pump. We ditched the bioballs and added in some live rock fragments in the left chamber...

Some VERY live rock has been purchased and placed! Yet again over-estimated the size of these little tanks so had to break it up a bit, which led to us discovering all sorts including worms, tiny little crabs and an unfortunately beheaded shrimp (which I probably did when breaking the rock)...

First of all, this is a lovely tank and looks great! But I wonder whether it is large enough for cories, even only 3?

Hey Gray Thanks for the advice. I like the idea of a split pump into both tanks ... I've also had advice to implement one light fixture across them both, which also sounds like a good idea. I guess my reluctance is the fact that them sitting next to each other was possibly a temporary thing...

Well a day or two ahead of us taking the bala sharks back to the aquarium where we got them, one of them is very unwell today. Is obviously bouyant and struggling to stay the right way up. Is he a goner? Or any chance of saving? It's anus looks quite red ... more so than the other shark.

Yeah I had read about the substrate for corys and ours is definitely not sharp, so hopefully they are okay. We might still get a couple more corys to make a group of four - didn't realise how sociable they were until we got the two we have.
