Hi beechey, Both before and when they're spawning they do get very excitable and all race around the tank. Hard to tell if they're carrying eggs or not. I think generally corys are capable of spawning every 2-3 weeks. Mine don't spawn this regularly but maybe they do carry eggs all the time...

Thanks for the replies. The tank is quite high on a stand and so I have the bucket on the floor when siphoning which results in a good flow rate. I will have to try out swirling the siphon to lift the debris from the surface of the sand making it easier to get out. Any other tips?

Hi JSmails, I'm in Huddersfield and have only found the Quality Koi company in Brighouse to have a small selection of Cories. QSS in Bradford have a few too. Haven't been to Leeds for any though. Have yet to see Sterbai. I;m kjeen to find some more LFS with good selection in the area too.

Thanks boboboy, I was under the impression that the filter should put air into the tank also. It seems I don't need to worry about the oxygen level in the tank. Is this the case?
