Im looking a adding 6 corys into my 260l which currently has 7 Harlequins and 1 Gold Gourami. I will also be adding Boesmani Rainbows soon. Any ideas from people who have had them before?

I do have a sand substrate and a couple of small caves set up.

As Ad says any will do depndant on water temp, have a look around and see if you spot any you like above others.

I like sterbai, adolfoi, melini, metae amongst alot of others, but theres a few to get you going :)

I have lots of open spaces, some hiding spots but only lightly planted and tank at 26 degrees. So considering that what am I narrowed down to?

Most cories should be just fine. Maybe add a couple more hiding spots such as slate caves or pots ? But they should all gaggle up and down the open areas and rootle amongst the plants and decor just fine. Pygmies tend to be a bit nervous I find, so perhaps avoid those as the open areas may not be appreciated. But most of the commonly found "normal" sized cories should be perfectly ok with that setup.

not many corys are good at that temp
but i do know sterbais are good at higher temps
a nice group of 8+ would be lovely in there

Thanks for all the answers! Just done some research on the sterbais and they are exactly what Im after. I know this is a shot in the dark but does anyone know where I can get some in the Leeds/Bradford or Yorkshire area?

Hi JSmails, I'm in Huddersfield and have only found the Quality Koi company in Brighouse to have a small selection of Cories. QSS in Bradford have a few too. Haven't been to Leeds for any though. Have yet to see Sterbai.

I;m kjeen to find some more LFS with good selection in the area too.

QSS on Wakefield Road, Bradford, are absoloutly fantastic. Can't say enough good things about them. Very proffessional, and have a lovely variety of stock ^^

Funnily enough I got some Sterbai from QSS at the weekend. Georgeous fish. They are hiding most of the time under the filter and only coming out when they think no one is around but they are eating well.
