Yah My Albinos Have Spawned!

My babies are doing really well too! still not got the filter completely sorted! bought one of the traditional air filters that you suggested and the smalledt airpump i could find but it is far too strong for the tank so at the moment the filter isn't working at all and i'm off to the lfs today to see if i can get some sort of regulator to lower the airpressure! these babies are costing me a fortune but i'll be set for the next batch! lol

WOW Harlequins your luck is back,I have been gone for some time now,and I remember that all of your other corys where laying eggs,I recall Panda eggs,T's eggs,....Can I have an update how are all of them?

Sadly the fry i think were pandas didn't make it.
But theres 15 tri fry growing fast ages varying between 5 months to 10 months and due to sell them soon
My pygmy corys & habrosus spawned also with the habrosus fry sadly not making it,but ended up with 15 pygmy fry which are around 3-4 months old now

Now i have the albinos,depending how these fry do i hope to try and breed either the black corys or the golds

Well you still came out positive with 30 juvi corys.I have always wanted my corys to spawn but have hhad no luck with my elegans,or emerald corys ,And i have one bronze cory and decided to buy him three albinos last night.so maybe we will get something.Any tips?

Do you have a spare tank with a cycled filter? acclimatise your cories in there,i left the temp in fry tank at 22 degrees when i acclimatised my albinos (main tank 25 degrees) feed defrosted bloodworm and pellets etc and do cold water changes daily and with a bit of luck they'll spur into action

It worked for both the pygmys and albinos with little work on my part,has i wasn't expecting it so soon

Its fun watching them spawn,they're all over the place aren't they

My fry seem to be doing ok,i've lost a couple,to be expected,at a quick count trying to see pink against the pale sand i reckon around 60 + but they're difficult to see unless they've been fed,then i can see their bellies

Yep first time ive seen it saw the T shape and everything was interesting

Havent found any of mine dead yet, quite hard though with the ammount moss and the lily i have in their tank, wont be untill i move them ill find out if any have died, hope not

I keep my fry tank quite minimal,apart from the filter & heater,theres only a plant and a lump of bogwood for them to hide under if they want.

Makes cleaning the sand daily alot easier also,so hence if i do come across a dead one i can remove it

Well i put the moss in cos apparently it will provide some food for them, they seem to like grazing on it so, and it was my betta tank and lily was in there, wasnt expecting fry haha, when i get my 10 gal will set it up for fry

What are you feeding them? Sorry if you mentioned it before... I'm not very observant when it comes to what members said earlier on.

I hope my corys spawn again soon. But I don't have the money to buy anymore corys, and right now I only have a pair. Just waiting for the fry to grow a little bigger so I can add them with their parents.
