they are great fish and truely stunning. after i bought mine that are about 3 inches another lfs got a batch in at about 5 inches and very chunky  i dont want to add much bigger ones in with the smaller ones i have to save on dominance issues and i cant find any smaller ones now.......

how big are yours and if you dont mind me asking what did they cost you?

well if you decide to come up to manchester the shop is called Manchester pets and aquatics and its on stockport road. you could do abyss too and pier :good:

nothing new really to report on this tank as it seems to be taking care of itself nicely and the fish all seem to be getting on and growing pretty well :good:

i did last night however remove what was left of the amazon frogbit as the angels have eaten it pretty much to the stems including the leaf..... ive put them in my ray tank to see if they will recover in there.

im still very tempted to add 2 more bolivian rams and another similar sized L200 if i can find decent specimins around local.

had a good look round afew not so lfs today and came back with 2 bolivian rams and another L200 :hyper:

thats it now fully stocked unless i can swap the ancistrous for another L200

Nice work Matt. A great change from your tanks a few months ago. Are you pleased with the change?

The Angels truly are stunning mate. As is the BN. I see he is for sale. Wish i could take him off your hands. :(

thanks mate, yeah im happy with it (for now, lol). its a good change from cichlid only tanks tbh and so much less stress involved...

the BN is for sale but i think he is being shipped off to the north east pretty soon as i have a buyer up there. he is a stunning bn and ive never seen one before which is why i had to have him but ive really fallen for the L200's and would prefer another one of them to have a group of 4. a bit less mish mash too with bigger groups of fish rather than individual species. the bn hides a lot too and i think hes going to be part of a breeding project so he will probably be much happier with the ladies....

the angels are fantastic looking fish and that bit different to the norm as angels go but as i mentioned to you earlier i have fallen for some wild angels i saw yesterday  so i may be adding a couple into the mix :hey:

All sounds good matey. The Angels at Wharf are amazing. I'm sure i told you about them before you started this project.

And how nice was that wild Oscar? I nearly fell over when i saw it! It was almost metallic!!

so amazing ive just reserved 4 :D :X :grr: :hey: :look:   :hyper:

so current stocking is -

8 x F1 Leopoldi angelfish
7 x Bolivian ram
3 x L200
2 x Bulldog plecs
25 x Cardinal tetra
13 x Rosy terta

the L309 b/n will be going soon so ive excluded him from this stocking list.

i have reserved a group of wild peru angelfish that look exactly like altums but with a black stripe instead of brown :hyper: but unsure how many to get and how many leopoldi to remove......

i would love to keep 2 wilds as a center piece pair but as we all know this can end up in a disaster although with the presence of other angels would it work? if not 4 may be had but that means removing at least 4 leopolidi

how did i miss this???!!!!

I love this Matt, very well aquascaped mate. Brilliant. :good:

thanks Ian. im suprised that my plants are doing so well as im not adding ferts or carbon or using co2. it all seems to be taking care of itself really which is nice. i know they are pretty hardy low light plants but me and plants dont usually work, although the tank is still very much new really so theres still time for the plants to fade away!

but so far so good :good:
