White Spots On Clown Loach!

Ah, that's all right then! Hopefully this will spell the end of it now! Damn parasites! It's my own fault for getting them from Pets at Home rather than from a better fish shop. Won't be making that mistake again!

Let me know how you get on with the esha :)

Was hard to find a place that stocked it but we did in the end thankfully!

It says 20 drops per 100L for the first day and 10 for the second and third. So hopefully this should work!

With luck you should start seeing some results after 24 hours. I have never used a ich treatment like it, I was amazed.

I'm holding you to that! :p

Too late for one of my loaches sadly. Removed his body from the tank a few minutes ago. At least the other three are in with a chance now that they've got medicine that should work!

Oh no :( I am sorry. Fingers crossed for the other 3

Third day into treatment and one my loaches still has a lot of spots all over him. He's more active, swimming around and eating normally but it doesn't seem to have shifted...

You can continue the half dose for upto 6 days. This might be a particularly resistant strain, rare but it happens.

Yeah, it's annoying. I'll have to keep up the medication. There's still some flashing too.

Spots still aren't shifting and I'm getting immensely frustrated.

Here's a picture of the loach I'm most concerned about. He came out and ate some shrimp food that contained garlic earlier which is good. The waters green because I added some esha exit earlier today. He, and the loach who died a few days ago, appear very thin and almost squashed. It's bizzare. I'm so confused on what to do...

Oh dear he does have a problem which is commonly called skinnying disease. Unfortunately I have never had to treat for it (in clown loach), but a quick google says to use a medication containing Levamisole. I will give Wilder a shout, she is far better on medications than me :)

Argh! :( So another disease as well as ich!?

I don't know if I'm gonna be able to get more medication. I just haven't got the money and my parents brought the previous ich medication for me and they won't be happy to learn I'm gonna need more! (I still live with my parents).

You could also get this medication. But I have never bought it so don't know how easily available it is in the UK.

Flagyl (Metronidazole) You just add it to the tank water.
