What Have You Named Your Fish?

I have an mts too, and I just decided I'll call him lebowski or the dude, because he's so chill and just randomly appears.

Some of my platies are named after forum members.  There's a feisty young wagtail male called Eagle, a reclusive adult male called Amin and a bright sunset called Snazy.
 
Clarabel is named after Thomas the Tank Engine's carriage (there was an Annie but she became Amin when she decided to be a boy instead )
 
There's also Cutie the young sunset male, so named because he was born in the QT tank 
 
 

A swordtail was named Switchblade.

 

A Corydoras called "Cory Amos""

Yup that's how Annie, Beatrice and Clarabel got their names!

my black neons are the triplets as theres three of them (not sure on genders)
my guppies are biggs and firetail (i aslo had comet and shadow) (all male)
my platies are shifty dream (i was told he was a female and he looked like one then he turned out to be male), firefly (female) and sunset (male) (i also had black lips which was female) (yes i know i need another tank to put one of the platies in so its not two boys and a girl just need more room)
when i had blue neons they were the blue quads

Wow!  I had no idea so many folks named their fish like I do!  My friends usually think I'm weird for naming my fish.  In fact, a friend of mine asked me why I named my fish, when she names her plants in her garden.
 
Very cool names though!  Some made me laugh.

Yea! I've named schooling leaders and tank kings/queens like that too.
 
I forgot to add, I have a bolivian ram named Galileo!  Can't believe I forgot him!

I don't name my fish unless they have a unique feature or do something particular which stands out to me.
 
Bubbles - Bolivian Ram - because he blows bubbles from the airstone
Pearl - Bolivian Ram - because her irradescence reminds me of a pearl
Chupa - Pleco - because he sucks on the glass and wood
Raisin - Gold Spotted Pleco - because he loves raisins and sorta looks like one
Red - Green Tiger Barb - because his pectoral fins are bright red
Dale - Clown Loach - because he has some unique spots (play on Dal-mation)
Troy, John, Briggs, Stratton, Toro - Silver Dollars - because they devour plants
 
I have not yet named all the other fish, because while I mostly recognize them, they don't "stand out" enough yet to receive a name.

Named my black angel and my gold angel Dr. Evil and Goldmember respectively!

Named my neons collectively 'Mr Smith' cops they all look the same.

My bristle nose is Lurch.

My honey gourami pair are Honey and Sugar.

Sharks are Bruce and Jaws.

I have one clown loach smaller an all the others even thought they were all the same when I bought them, he is Runty.

Funny and interesting names there!

Well.. here is my list:

Balloon Rams:
1) Rocky (Coz he have a straight Punk-like black streak on his upper fin)
2) Rocker (same as above but with Two black streaks!)
3) Hybrid (the ever small Ram that just doesnt want to grow!)

Red Zebra Danios:
all three are called Haziqs (Named after my very active son!)

Lemon Tetras:
1) The Lemonies
2) Raspberry
3) Whiteless fin(the only one with two of its fins without a white tip)

Red Platy:
1) Platy 1(one black bar on body)
2) Platy 2(two black bars on body!)

Sterbai Cory:
all three are called The Leopardies

Adolfoi Catfish Cory:
1) Golden Head(a gold band on his head)

Panda Cory:
Well.. just Panda! Sometimes Dirty Panda becoz he is never that white! haha

Chinese Algae Eater:
Goldy (coz he is gold in colour)

Neon Tetras:
All 11 of them i called The Neonettes! just one which I called Crook coz his body is abit crooked!
