I pulled out of my driveway
Thankfully didn't happen at high speeds. That could have been serious.
Are you saying It snapped on its own?

Yup. Just heard grinding and scraping and that's what I found. Whats strange is with this type of failure, there should have been warning noises miles ago. Nothing at all.Are you saying It snapped on its own?
How many miles on that carYup. Just heard grinding and scraping and that's what I found. Whats strange is with this type of failure, there should have been warning noises miles ago. Nothing at all.
A friend way back when had a Monte Carlo on the Interstate and a front wheel bearing seized ripping off the wheel. Kind of a catch 22 as, as long as he kept speed, the front end stayed off the road. At least it gave him time to maintain control but when he finally backed off it toasted he front end on that side.I pulled out of my driveway

We've been looking for another van for a while now. We plan on road trips next year and needed something more reliable. Might go for a certified pre owned.Absolutely. I work for a commercial service centre and we service and repair trucks and vans. Normally you’d have heard squeaking/grinding noises before hand.
I might be wrong but from the look of your pictures the control arm has snapped and it’s ripped the drive shaft out.. looks like that cv boot has been split for a while though..
oh well, off to the scrapyard in the sky then!
We shall see. Thanks. That is not a cheap guitar. But, usually if the package has not been insured with the shipper, then you may be out of luck. But, if it is anything like shipping fish, no matter what the shipper does the burden is usually on the seller. But there the problem is DOA fish and i am sure the seller was happy to guarantee it would arrive dead. A reputable seller should help with this I would hope.
Good luck.
