What are you doing today?

All you have to do is run it as fast and you can and take a corner while hitting the gravel shoulder with two wheels. That'll flip it. Easy peasy!

I hated April 1 when I taught. The need to act surprised by the most predictable of jokes... kind of like the one I just made.
As I wrote my post I knew somebody would make that joke. I was just waiting to see who it was.

Right now, yes. Tomorrow? Lord knows.
That’s honestly the story for most cars over 10 years old.
Oh... that is interesting.
I like cars, but I do not care so much. Anything with a good air-conditioner and some safety is enough (the car can even have crank windows...).
Today, I found out more interesting things about my ancestors. I visited a museum and started to explore old newspaper editions as well as to find out where my great-grandfather's tomb is.

Epic shop-garage cleaning today (and tomorrow and Monday…). Nice to finally admit that I’m never going to use some of this junk, and organize the rest.

But look at this: a 6’ bow stave I cut last fall, lopped off all the branches and split it lengthwise, then left it sitting in the driveway all winter, and it’s sprouting. Rocky mtn juniper is some tough stuff.

I just started an OLD black and White movie, Sergeant York. Haven't watched in a long time and it is awesome. Sergeant York is one of those rare movies that is based on actual events and is historically correct. Before Alvin York and his family signed off on allowing it to be a movie they insisted on full control of historical accuracy. York was awarded the U.S. Medal Of Honor and the equivalent from France.

York was the rare TRUE hero. The Medal Of Honor came from taking out an entire German machine gun nest by himself. His commanding officer found that the most remarkable thing about it all was that he did it to save lives, not take. He felt that the guns were going to kill a lot of people and shut it down to save those lives even though he started as a drunk, then found God, and then failed as a objector. He actually didn't take out a lot of the Germans but just put them in a situation they could not win.

After the war he was being escorted by, I think, a senator, around Washington and was offered many high dollar, for the time, endorsements. He asked the senator if the offers were because of what happened over seas. When the answer was yes he refused and asked to just be allowed to go back home.

I should add that the first half of the movie has nothing to do with WWI but, rather, his getting to the man he became. It literally took him being struck by lightning to wake him up.

Here seems to be a YouTube video of the whole movie. Just watch it. If nothing else it is inspirational.

Remarkable man and truly the rare true hero.

Have you ever read the book "How to Train Your Dragon"? It is one of the weirdest, most utterly pointless books I've ever read. Other than some characters having the same names, and there being humans and dragons, the movie has absolutely nothing to do with the book. And the movie is much better for it.

I got my garage all cleaned out and organized in only two days! And started roughing out a bow. If I'm lucky, I'm going out swing dancing with a couple of pretty girls later, to a live jazz band...
