What are you doing today?

There’s one thing that helps, but doctors have only given it to me once and don’t want to prescribe it. Which sucks cause it’s supposed to help with depression too
Wait... So the only thing that helps (like helps a lot cause it takes care of physical and mental pain) is something that the doctors gave you once but yet they will not prescribe it? That's messed up... Unless there is a medical reason you can't have it but it sounds like it's ok?...
I feel for you Juice.

It’s more complicated than just them not wanting to give it. Doctors get investigated if they prescribe certain things too often. Patients get denied if they go in to the ER too often for “pain” related issues. Big pharma complications. Legal complications. The thing that helps me isn’t an opioid but it is still used by addicts

People ruin everything 🙄
When they abuse drugs it causes pain for them but also pain for others.
I wish that hospitals and doctors would allow some people to use that (whatever drug it is). Especially someone like you who has multiple excruciatingly painful symptoms that come along with your conditions. And I'm sure that you have your depressed moments that come along with it.
Another thing is that you only know of one drug to help with your pains that won't cause any bad side-affects which is that exact drug.. I'm surprised the hospital actually won't allow it for you. Special circumstances, ya know...

If everyone pulled the special circumstances card there would be special circumstances. Besides a lot of doctors don’t even believe in ehlers danlos and/or the complications it can cause

Yah I suppose that makes sense but you can prove you have those symptoms at least, right? Even if doctors don't fully believe EDS they have to know SOMETHING is wrong...
This angers me to see that you can't get the drug cause of other people and some doctors deny the fact there is something called EDS

I was telling my mom (and only my mom) about your situation cause she sometimes has a few ideas on how to treat things.
She said: "It sounds like she can't have many foods but I wonder if she can mix in turmeric with rice or something to help."
She did say that you would have to keep eating it daily to actually notice the affects but hopefully it can help tone down certain aspects of what you go through...

My mom is allergic to turmeric and mine shows a very mild sensitivity that I don’t want to make worse by having a lot

DIE RANDOM CONDITIONS DIE!!

Thats my only other solution I have now at the moment...

So I guess I have to mellow down on trying to help fix the issue and just help by being there...
I will do my best to make you smile when possible :)

Does anyone absolutely hate CT contrast? I hate the feeling. Almost prefer MRI contrast even though I’m allergic to it

I hate both and I've never had any of those done :)😅
I would rather keep as far away from those as possible. I've heard their really long and you have to stay still. I'm impatient and I can not, not move soooo.... Yah. I hope I never have to be scanned 🤣

Also how are you allergic to the scan? Is it the magnet fields? I'm being serious cause that's what MRIs are. Magnetic field scans

Oh and apparently no sleeping in for me after these really busy days NOPE, we gotta wake up really early to go down to the farmers market 🥴
Then I can't sleep in for Sunday cause we go to our religious service in the morning. And Monday is school so yah I'm happy :)🔫

You want to avoid CAT (CT) scans at all costs because they expose you to 20-30 minutes of x-rays. They aren't safe and nobody (including JuiceBox) should be having them unless absolutely necessary.

MRIs are safe but they inject you with a contrast solution after the first scan and some people are allergic to the contrast solution.

Cat scans are quick, MRIs are long.

Allergic to the contrast dye they inject
