What are you doing today?

It was a beautiful day today, so I took a two hour drive to Lancaster, PA to visit That Fish Place/That Pet Place. Didn’t buy anything but browsed for quite a while. They were having some snake petting thing, so there were people all over with boas hanging around their necks. o_O I watched from afar.🫣

Very imaginative artwork… what is the meaning behind it?
Where was this event held?

A long and complicated meaning, might type it out sometime, but much too tired right now haha

It was held at the Leif Erickson Hall in Seattle

To be honest I find your work to show much talent but I find much of your work to be very 'dark'. I have to wonder how much your art is influenced by your physical issues. I truly mean no insult but I do see a possible emotional issue related to your art.

I'm sorry as I'm probably out of line but mayhaps you could try doing art through what makes you happy instead of centering on your pain. From many of your posts I see a beautiful and giving heart. Mayhaps that side of you could do more beautiful art.

What are you doing today?

Today I have been weeding and sowing new seeds in the backyard. Now my back and legs hurt a bit. I'm definitely not as flexible as I used to be.

Yes. My body often takes advantage of outdoor endeavors to remind me that I'm not 25 anymore.

I am at the beach for the week with my children and grandchildren. It’s the first time I have left my fish for this long without feeding them. Fingers crossed.

Well, when we do some artwork, the artwork can carry things from our personality. I personally find them cool.

That you said remembered me some days ago, when I showed some of my drawings and the person said that they seem "sad". This was curious for me since even my former therapist never said that. I never saw anyone saying my drawings are sad... I simply don't like coloring and although many times I drew to alleviate stress, in some situations I drew when I was in love, simply (despite the fact that the girl didn't fall in love with me when I showed the drawing). I also wrote several poetries and last year I recited some of them in public (I think that I would love to do more).

yes my physical issues are a large part of much of my art. You can read my artist statement and bio Here on my website

I do not take insult, as this style is not for everyone. However, the many people I have witnessed being touched by my art so deeply, is why I won’t change it. People will come to me in tears thanking me for my paintings. This is by far my most popular style.

I also use my work to raise awareness. Rare things like CRPS and periodic paralysis, chiari malformation and cranio cervical subluxation that I struggle with, are not well known, and many people do not feel the need or want to understand. Seeing a visual helps with that.

My art has even helped me get medical care that I would not have otherwise received.

However, I do not only do “dark” art!
I do art for everyone.

Attached are examples of my darker, more emotional works, and my brighter, more upbeat works

Beautiful fish paintings.

I'm also playing Age of Mythology: Extended Edition (always on Very Hard and with BOTs). Although they should care more about historical precision (fire lance, while a very good siege weapon, still didn't exist in Ancient China, that's anachronistic), I love to play this. I played also Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but I don't have as much patience with FPS as I have for RTS games.

With time, I also found out some techniques and hotkeys such as training units with simply "1 + 'unit hotkey'", a feature I don't know if exists in Age of Empires III series (a game I love too). You click on the building, hold control and press a number. Now you have a shortcut.
