My term paper about my brine shrimp is almost finished... soon I'll defend the thesis. I would love to record the presentation and try to put English subtitles, although I know that probably this will require some authorization.
Where we live, most of the year is hot (above 25º C) but, during Autumn and Winter seasons, we suffer powerful influences from cold fronts and/or polar air masses. The region's climate is probably Cwa-Cwb. The temperature amplitude becomes terrible and I hate this (I also realized this when I was living in Florida during Winter), then the temperature varies so much as our currency exchange rate, the Brazilian Real (or
Real Brasileiro).
Because of this, my artemias from my 13-l box suffered this last days, despite they were still alive (and slowly swimming). Then, I'm using a heater that my advisor bought for my term paper. During the night, the temperature rapidly decreases below 16º C (yeah, I'm accustomed to hot weather), although today was better. This wasn't the first time, since we had a
cold wave last year and also in 2021.
Also, today I fed my betta with the shrimps (as well as yesterday). I'm finding it weird in seeing so many females with ovoviviparous reproduction, given the fact that the salinity is 62 g/L and there's not any aeration.
Some pictures I took last days (date format: dd/mm/yyyy):
