What are you doing today?

Today I am doing nothing. Everything that I have to do is done and I can now sit quietly and contemplate my navel.
I'm envious. School's off on account of snow today, and it's a good thing. With everything we've had going on lately I'm weak as a whipped kitten. But instead of the expected day of rest, I got my truck stuck and had to dig it out (come to find out the parking brake cable was broken, so my 4wd was fighting the brake), then found out my wife's car battery was dead, so had to take care of that. Did get some juniper billets de-barked in preparation for a new bow I want to make, but that was enough to wipe me out. Took a nap. Now I'm drinking tea and eating a cookie. Life in the fast lane.

My goodness it’s blow after blow for you

yesterday against my better judgement and against my doctors advice I went on a roller coaster. It was a pretty gentle one with no loops or anything, but due to my loose connective tissue I subluxated two vertebrae in my cervical spine (neck)
Today one of them has been put back in, and it fixed my vertigo and nausea and blurred vision that onset upon the injury which is such a relief

Dang that's a lot...

Just one thing.... Why? 😧

Cause it’s fun!
Sometimes fun is more important than smart. ;) You knew the risk and accepted. Now you deal with the results. It is like me and pasta... my doctor tells me that pasta is not a good thing but I love it. To me food is not only a nutrient but an experience to be cherished. If I can't enjoy what I eat I see no sense in eating other than to just remain alive. If I can't enjoy being alive why bother? :dunno:

Good on you for accepting the danger and having some fun! :)

Yes that is true... But sometimes living is more important than "having fun". People can die and then... No more fun... Play it smart at times.

Food is a bit different. Lactose intolerant people will eat 5 slices of pizza and deal with everything later 😂

So live your life and DEFINITELY enjoy it but also play it smart 😉

You are correct in most parts but I associate 'having fun' as 'enjoying life'. I can only speak for myself but, to me, if I can't enjoy life, why bother? :dunno:

Please keep in mind that my outlook may not be the norm but way back in 1972 I experienced a near death thing and my total outlook changed.

Yes that's what I meant by enjoying life. To have fun. Get out there. Do things. Live your life. But just be cautious when doing so. No need to kill yourself for a good time...

Sorry to hear about your near death experience. I'm sure it changed your outlook on things. Gave you a new perspective
